WALKING AND HIKING FOR INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS

DAILY WALKS

From the end of March up to the beginning of November THE HAPPY WALKER offers a weekly programme with seven different walks, all very varying, in the province of Rethymnon. Each walk is a perfect combination of beautiful scenery, nature in all its variety, picturesque villages, friendly people and interesting historical sites. The walks will lead you along mule- and field tracks, through olive groves and breathtaking gorges, along stony mountain tracks and down riverbeds.

Daily Walks

- No special training is required, but you should be reasonably fit.
- All groups guided by an English, German and Dutch speaking experienced guide.
- Price per walk 30 € per person.

If you want to sign up for these walks you have to choose Rethymno or one of the neighbouring villages of Perivolia, Misiria or Platanes as your holiday resort.

8- and 10-DAY WALKING TOURS

From the early spring till the late autumn THE HAPPY WALKER offers 8- and 10-day walking tours in Western, Central and Eastern Crete.
These tours offer a combination of nature, culture, splendid walks, good food and accommodation. All enjoyed in international company.
The maximum number of participants is 17. There is a varied offer of possibilities: an early spring tour in South West Crete, a flower tour in April, in the summer easy mountain walking in the White Mountains and a choice of 10 day tours in West, Central and East Crete.
The in general spoken language is English.

GROUP HIKING HOLIDAYS

At your request THE HAPPY WALKER makes up a complete hiking programme for your group, including staying overnight, transport, guiding, etc.
Minimum number of participants in your group is 8 persons.

FLY-WALK-DRIVE

Would you like to see a larger part of Crete, traveling on your own, having comfortable transport from place to place and would you enjoy walking in various beautiful surroundings?
We offer you an 8-day or 10-day Walk and Drive trip in the western part of Crete. We have reserved accommodation in 4 or 5 different places. The flight must be booked by yourself. On your arrival at the airport in Heraklion your car will be waiting and you can drive to your first hotel in Rethymno.
The next day you can join a daily walking-group of THE HAPPY WALKER and you will get detailed further information: a traveling route with tips for possible stops and a booklet with completely described walks for every day.
